If you live in an area where there are trees that drop small leaves, as I do, you will know that these can sometimes work their way into the convertible top drain wells. Accessing engine compartment is the first step in finding and replacing Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. Always remember you may be rubbing or leaning against the side of your car so beware of zippers, buckles, or rivets on clothing that might scratch your finish. Begin by placing the convertible top in the service position. Raise or lower the top to a few inches from the wind shield or watch and stop when the tonneau cover has traveled the farthest it can toward rear of the car. ...

Many of you may have noticed that we have a lot of information on the main page new. Each group of information is in a window or what we call Modules. The Porsche Links, PCA Links, UserCP, Tech Quiz. These are all Modules. With all that we have going on, they may take up a lot of space and you may need to scroll down the page in order to see everything. Laser Interceptor (LI) Laser Jammer Installation Procedure on Porsche 987 The write up applies to 987 (boxster & cayman), but should also be applicable to the 997 cars - just about all the components I worked with in this guide are from the 997 parts bin (i.e., they have 997 part numbers). This document also assumes you have basic knowledge working with automotive electronics, handy with tools and have standard screw driver and torx bit set. This document also assumes you have thoroughly...

DIY Guide to Replacing the Air Filter in the 987/Boxster You can download the PDF here: Replace Air Filter 987 Boxster.pdf This is a suggestive guide detailing steps one can take to replace the engine air filter in the 987 (Boxster/Cayman) cars. The first section includes steps to put the Boxster convertible top into service position, as the 2007-on Porsche owner’s manual no longer includes these steps. Putting the top in service position will enable the owner to access the engine bay. ...

987.1 Center console removal/Shifter Install DIY Guide Note some of the pictures are rotated the wrong way - I couldn't fix them. However, you can download the PDF (pictures right-side up) here: 987.1 Shifter Install DIY.pdf There are a few articles out there for DIY’ers to remove the 987.1 center console & short shift installation. Please note, this New Article is written by Obin Robinson on how he takes care of his Boxster. Feel free to PM Obin if you have any questions. Thanks Obin for allowing the Boxster Register to copy your post to the Articles Section! Hello everyone, I've been a lurker here for years but I figure it's time to contribute something which I haven't seen discussed here often enough. For the majority of my time in the U.S. Navy I have been working as an Aviation Structural Mechanic. Plainly...
