Thinking of getting my 718 Boxster "wrapped" with PPF, Paint Protection Film. I'd have it done professionally. Any thoughts as to why not to wrap?

We all spend a lot time making the exterior of our Boxster's look great. It makes sense, because the exterior of our cars is what everybody sees. We also need to care for the cockpit, which includes all the leather surfaces located throughout the interior of our cars. The leather in the interior of your car should be cleaned...

I washed the Boxster this morning, so now it's time to put some wax on it. I try to wax the Boxster twice a year. My Boxster is my daily driver, so it gets frequent washings during the year. I wash my cars by hand, but even so, the frequent washing will gradually strip away the wax and put light swirl marks in the paint. There are a couple of options on how to wax your car. Between waxings, the surface of the paint gets swirl marks and hairline scratches. The swirl marks and hairline...

Since spring has arrived in most parts of the country, a lot of Porsche owners will be cleaning their cars for the upcoming driving season. One of the most common tasks that is done by most Porsche owners is to wash their car. We all have our own method of washing "baby", and they probably all do a very good job. I would like...

Cleaning and Protecting Your Engine I decided to clean my engine to make it easier to inspect and to perhaps maximize cooling. I discussed this idea with my independent tech and he agreed it would help visual inspection and also said it is a good idea to annually put a protectant on the rubber surfaces as this would help prevent degradation and cracking. He recommended the Duragloss ultimate spray for this. Note: I did not find this product at the first couple of auto parts stores so I went...

Thanks Obin for allowing the Boxster Register to copy your post to the Articles Section! Hello everyone, I've been a lurker here for years but I figure it's time to contribute something which I haven't seen discussed here often enough. For the majority of my time in the U.S. Navy I have been working as an Aviation Structural Mechanic. Plainly...

Those of us living in the northern part of the continent have to put up with road salt and sand. If we want to keep our beautiful Boxsters looking the way they should, we have to consider storing them for the winter. This is the procedure which I’ve used for the past four years. Supplies: - water & wax - battery maintainer - 8 oz container of staybil - car cover - scrap pieces of styrofom or rug
