The Use of Tags

Enhancing our search feature depends largely on having "tags" to help a member find these discussions at a future time. Tags are simply key words that best describe the thread. For example, for a member to find all the information about correcting a brake problem or deciding what tires to purchase, we want them to be able to place "brakes" or "tires" in the search window, and then the system would give them all the postings or threads with those words. BUT, in order to work the best way possible, we need those key words entered as "tags" by the poster.

When you create a new thread, you can enter "tags" in the tag box below the editing window.



Now when a member enters a key word in the search box, the system can quickly read these tags and display any thread or post that contains these key words.
