> Engine failed in May 2014 at 28,400 miles (slipped cylinder sleeve / exploded piston)
> August 2014 completed engine replacement project wherein I did ALL the work myself of removing broken motor and installing rebuilt motor.

> Purchased Silver Boxster from 'Ronster' Nov 2016 and drove her home from California.
Exterior
While I had the car torn apart (see engine section below) I removed and painted the side air-intake grills and the front bumper grills. They look awesome!
I used PlastiDip products and applied 4 coats of gray, 2 coats of Metalizer, and 2 coats of Glossifier ... NICE!

Interior
Learning by networking with other Boxster owners, I found and added cupholders (that snap into the intended side ventilation louver trim rings, and also replaced the 'ash tray' with a nice storage bin.
Also, the original cigarette lighter was to shallow to hold a power plug securely, so I replaced with a really nice quality deeper socket I found at Radio Shack ... much better!

In-Car Entertainment
Still standard base radio .... needs better / more speakers ... but that machine just behind the seats makes such beautiful music ..... Added speakers to rear enclosure fall 2015 .... Really good upgrade !!

Beneath the Engine Cover
Due to a Catastrophic engine failure (slipped cylinder sleeve / piston explosion), I did an engine replacement project, which also included replacing all 26 coolant hoses in the car.

Suspension
> Standard
> Upgrading front brakes to cross-drilled rotors and new pads.
> Bleeding entire braking system
